24 Hour Emergency

Midwest Environmental Services, Inc. has been following the concerns of climate changes and global warming. The EPA recently published numbers that the average temperature of Earth has risen by 1.4°F over the past ten years and will continue to increase. For too many of us, that number may not sound significant, but if we look at how the climate change has directly affected us, the impact is very clear. It cannot be denied that the weather is “different” from what we have grown accustomed. Locations in the United States are seeing less snow than usual that will create drought conditions in later months. Or just the opposite in other regions where more rain than expected is falling and crops cannot be planted – something we all feel when we shop for food. Recently we have all seen images of the powerful tornadoes that have devastated regions of the Midwest. It is not that storms in that region are infrequent. It is however, that we are seeing more super storms.

So the question to ask is what can we do now to help our future? What can we change at our businesses that will make a difference? Midwest Environmental Services, Inc. suggests that we look at maintenance at our facilities as we do maintaining our vehicles. Everyone knows that a vehicle needs routine oil changes, tire rotation with proper inflation, carry less weight for better fuel mileage, and many other items, to perform at the optimum level and peak efficiency. In some states, vehicles have to go through emissions testing to safeguard the air we breathe. The same philosophy should be followed for production systems at facilities. A clean process will generate a better product and will use less energy to create that product. Also, the emissions are reduced by having a better running system, which will have a positive impact on air quality. When a computer or light bulb needs to be replaced, we can reduce our “footprint” on the environment by utilizing energy efficient products that have been tested and proven to be more environmental-friendly.

These improvements may seem small, but again, Midwest Environmental Services, Inc. would like to work with all of you towards a stronger future. Midwest Environmental Services, Inc. appreciates the opportunity to work with our clients to assist in making their facilities energy and environmentally efficient. Midwest Environmental Services, Inc. personnel will do the cleaning of the tanks and pits at the facilities to remove the sludge material and improve operations. Midwest Environmental Services, Inc. will also remove the waste materials and focus on recycling materials that can be utilized by others, and suggest other ways to reduce the negative impact. Please contact us to discuss what steps we can take together to improve for not only current generations but also what is yet to come.
